I also wanted the way I styled my model to subvert from the male gaze theory which is where Laura Mulvey implied visual arts are structured around a masculine heterosexual viewer. So though my model is obviously appealing to the male eye, she is not dressed in minimal clothing like most female models are on magazines of my genre.
